Brief Profile

FAGBOLA BOLANLE OLUYEMISI  (Ph.D)  is an assistant Director (Institute Librarian).She  is a fellow of Council for the Development of Social Research in Africa (CODESRIA) award in 2008. During her sabbatical at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan as Faculty Librarian, Faculty of Pharmacy University of Ibadan and acting Collection Development Librarian for the University from September 2017 –August 2018, she provided an enabling environment for academic activities in the faculty, facilitated trainings that were of immense benefit to lecturers and students. She worked with staff in the faculty to prepare the Library for accreditation of academic programmes by NUC.

In 2020 she participated in the online Research4life open online course (AGORA, GOALI, HINARI, ARDI and OARE). She had also attended numerous trainings on librarianship. She holds B.A. Hons. in Russian, MLS and Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Ibadan. She is a certified librarian of the Library Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN). Member of the Nigerian Library Association (NLA). Member, International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).  Member, International University Network on Cultural and Biological Diversity, (IUNCBD N-ISCU), Member, Association of Behavioural Research Analysts and Psychometrician (AB-REAP)

She has considerable number of publications in both reputable local and international journals. Her areas of research interest include: textbook evaluation, library services, Bibliometrics, Digital Librarianship, Information and communication technology (ICTs), Bibliotherapy and Indigenous knowledge.
