Brief Profile

Dr (Miss) Egberongbe Kehinde hails from Ogun state in Nigeria. She had her primary and secondary education at Sacred heart private school, Onireke and Saint Louis girls grammar school both in Ibadan. She proceeded to the University of Ibadan for her first, second and third degrees obtaining   B.Sc. Crop Protection and Environmental Biology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria (2000), M.Sc. Environmental Biology , University of Ibadan, Nigeria (2006), and Ph.D. Environmental Biology (Plant Ecology), University of Ibadan, Nigeria (2016). She joined the services of the National Horticultural Research Institute, Ibadan in 2009 as Research officer 1 and is presently a Chief Research Officer in the Citrus program of the Institute. Dr. Egberongbe is a plant ecologist and her work covers the areas of weed management, environmental conservation and plant ecology. She is a member of societies like Horticultural Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Society for Plant Protection, Nigerian Conservation foundation (NCF), American Society of Plant Biologists and Member Weed Science Society of Nigeria. She has attended conferences and workshops across Nigeria. Dr Egberongbe has good organizational skills, has ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and is proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point etc. She has published in both local and international journals as well as conference proceedings. She has other administrative services within and outside the Institute.
