Twenty-one pepper (Capsicum annum L) cultivars accessions were screened for resistance to pepper veinal mottle potyvirus (PVMV) disease under natural field conditions, insect transmission and artificial inoculations. Three found to be highly tolerant both in the screen house and under natural field conditions. NHV3-A exhibited some degree of tolerance to PVMV infection.
