Abstract

In 1996 a pot experiment was conducted at Ibadan Southwestern Nigeria. To study the growth response of passion fruit to 0, 30, 60, 90 and 120 kgN/ha and thereby determine the N requirement of passion fruit. N application did not significantly influence vine length, stem diameter, shoot dry weight and root length. N application encouraged early branching. N significantly increased root dry weight, leaf area, number of branches and leaves. Application of 90kg/ha is considered critical to normal growth of passion fruit in Southwestern Nigeria
