Agricultural shows and exhibition are some of the various avenues for disseminating on shelf technologies generated from research to end-users. They serve as forum for exchange of ideas and generation of feedback which can guide on-station research. This study was carried out between 1996 to 1997 during various agricultural shows attended by scientists from NIHORT in which different research breakthroughs in horticulture were displayed. The objective was to find out clienteles awareness of horticultural breakthroughs and areas of interest. Clienteles areas of interest varied from one agricultural show to another. Generally, demand for processed agricultural products such as bottled fruit juice, confectionaries and citrus production techniques ranked high. The need to participate more in organized agricultural show was highlighted. This will further boost agricultural research activities and enhance a focused generation, development and dissemination of improved technologies.
