Abstract

A field study was conducted at the experimental plots of National Horticultural Research (NIHORT), Ibadan, Nigeria to study the effects of combined use of organic manure and inorganic fertilizers on seed yield of six okra varieties (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench). Treatments were 0, 10 t/ha poultry manure +60kg NPK 20-10-10/ha; 10 t/ha poultry manure + 120kg NPK 20-10-10/ha. Combined application of poultry manure and NPK mineral significantly influenced okra seed yield. Application of 10 t/ha poultry manure + 60kg NPK 20-10-10/ha gave the optimum seed yield of okra.
