Abstract

Levels of hyperparasitisation of released mango mealybug parasitoid – Gyranusoidea tebygi (Noyes) was studied over a period of three years on three host plants – mango (Mangifera indica. L), sweet orange (Citrus simensis) and frangipani (Plumeria alba). Parasitation level was higher on frangipani and citrus than on mango. The two hyperparasitoids found were leopardina sp and Chartocenis sp and were found to be more on mango than on frangipani and citrus sp. Irrespective of season. Local parasitoids (Anayrus aurantifomis) were found to contribute very little to primary parasitisation.
